The lead up to Christmas can bring up many challenges for people.

Sometimes there can be a feeling of overwhelm that there is so much to do and so little time to do it.

If this is how you are feeling here is a technique used in Neuro-Training with Kinesiology that you might like to try.

We all have our own individual perception of time and sometimes for some people their perception of present time, future and past can be scrambled or altogether.

Take a moment to feel, or get a sense of, where in your body your perception of “present time” sits.

Next take a moment to feel, or get a sense of, where around you your perception of “the idea of future time” is.

Lastly take a moment to feel, or get a sense of, where around you your perception of “the idea of things in your past” is.

Ideally your feeling of “present time”, the here and now, should sit somewhere in your body.

Your feeling of “future time”, whether that be tomorrow or 5 years’ time, should feel as though it is in front of you.

And your feeling of “past time”, whether that be yesterday or when you were a child, should feel as though it is behind you.

If that’s not what you find, then you might like to hold the front of your head lightly and put the other hand on the base of your skull and see if you can move the positions of where you felt present, future and past times to be to fit into the straight line mentioned above.

Keep holding your hands in that position until you feel comfortable and relaxed with moving your perception of time.

Once your “Time Line” is in a straight line, whether you have had to move your original positions or not, then you can have fun with stretching your time line.

For some people their perception of 5 years in the future may be right in front of their nose. This would give them the feeling that they never have enough time to do all the things they feel they need to get done.

If this is the same for you, then you might like to stretch your time line – focus on that perception of 5 years right in front of your nose and move it to a long way in front of you – whether that be the end of your street, or to another neighbourhood, or to another state, or to another country, etc.

Getting back to feeling overwhelmed with all the preparations yet to be done for Christmas, you can do the above technique every morning upon waking. Simply get a sense or feeling of where in front of you 6pm that night is, and stretch it further away.

This is something I do often with amazing results.

Let me know how you go.

Remember to give yourself lots of RECUPERATION time over the Christmas / New Year break. It’s always great to replenish that Available Energy I keep talking about.
